This landmark £30 million mixed use development is to be built by Expresso Property on the site of the Thimblerow car park, in Perth’s city centre.
Designed by Holmes Miller, this significant project will establish a mix of restaurants and bars, a cinema, housing, and a multi storey car park.
It forms a cornerstone of the City’s wider plans to establish a new cultural quarter in the city centre.
Over 350 jobs will be created during construction, while the final development is expected to attract more than 300,000 visitors every year and generate 150 jobs.
A spokesperson for Expresso Property said: “We are delighted that our scheme at The Mill Quarter has now got the go ahead from Perth & Kinross Council, and with their support we look forward to pushing forward as soon as possible. Providing a major new leisure facility for the City comprising a state of the art cinema with restaurants, over 200 parking spaces and 58 apartments we hope to be in a position to submit a planning application during the next few months, targeting a scheme opening late spring 2019.”
