On the back of the Perth City Plan, we are investing £14 million to create a series of vibrant, high quality public spaces and lighting initiatives across Perth City and the wider city region. The £9m Placemaking budget will raise the standard of public realm in the City Centre, creating a series of exciting gateways and spaces which prioritise the pedestrian; promotes the cultural heritage and natural assets, such as the River Tay and Inches.
The £5m Lighting Plan budget follows on from the creation of the Lighting Action Plan, which outlines a series of unique lighting projects, which when combined, will promote Perth’s unique cultural heritage and architecture, as well as public realm and greenspace. Together, this investment will reinforce Perth’s status as a young, vibrant, cultural city, which has plenty to offer throughout the day and evening.
