Perth Food & Drink Park will enhance Perthshire's status at the heart of Scotland's food and drink industry. A number of exciting plans are being developed as part of the wider 'Tay Eco Valley' initiative.
The Tay Eco Valley initiative aims to achieve sustainable economic growth for Perth City region by promoting: eco-innovation; intelligent connections between businesses and business parks; and economic clustering in support of the food and drink and clean and renewables technology sectors. For more information visit Tay Eco Valley.
Feasibility work is underway to investigate the potential for a Green Heat Exchange potentially using water from the nearby River Tay. This could supply a local district heating system (DHS) serving the park with the intention to later connect into a wider DHS serving the west of the city.
Proposals are also being considered for the creation of a Centralised Waste Management facility to co-ordinate the efficient collection, transport, sorting, processing and re-use of business waste on the Park.
