Perth and Kinross Council have developed a Smart City Strategy, setting out the vision, themes and actions that will help make Perth and Kinross connected, integrated and desirable.

The Smart City Strategy will be used to integrate data and technology to develop smart city projects and bring service improvements and efficiencies. It will be underpinned by themes such as open data, citizen engagement, innovation and establishing new collaborations across the public, private and voluntary sectors.

Perth and Kinross Council is part of the Smart Cities Scotland initiative of the Scottish Cities Alliance developing the smart city agenda nationally. By working together, Scotland’s seven cities can better access potential investment; accelerate innovation and learning; and develop smart city projects.

The period of consultation on the Smart City Strategy has now ended. However, to ensure that the process of implementing the Strategy and its associated projects is as inclusive as possible, the consultation’s survey will remain open for ongoing comment.
