New Marketing campaign to be launched for assistance with converting or renovating empty properties

The Vacant Property Development project is shortly to be launching a new marketing campaign designed to help owners of long term empty properties.  Named ‘Empty to Plenty’ it highlights the costs of keeping a property empty and the benefits of bringing them back into use.  Already they have been working closely with long term property owners and, since April 2016 have helped bring 127 properties back into use.  This has been achieved by a combination of signposting of grants for repairs to buildings and professional fees, interest-free loans, information on reduced rate VAT and discounts from contractors and Builder’s Merchants.  They also run a free Matchmaker Service where prospective purchasers are matched up with owners of long term empty properties.

If you would like more information on the assistance offered then contact Isobel Butt or Katrina Morrison on 01738 475955 or 01738 476561.
