East Scotland Tourism PartnershipPosted on: 25th Nov 2016
East Scotland Tourism Partnership is made up of four local authorities – Angus Council, Dundee City Council, Perth & Kinross Council and Fife Council, plus the V&A Museum of Design Dundee.
The partnership is working together to maximise the opportunities presented by the opening of the V&A Museum of Design Dundee in 2018.
The aim is to develop an integrated regional tourism and cultural offer which supports sustainable growth, a key strand of the Tay Cities Deal. By working collaboratively the partnership aims to increase the volume and value of tourism to the region as a whole, increasing the length of stay, expenditure and propensity to revisit.
The partnership will implement and deliver the Destination Development Plan in 2017 for all 4 authority areas.
The deliverables of the plan include a B2B campaign commencing in 2017 with a collaborative presence at trade shows including VisitScotland expo 2017, Explore GB 2017 and Trav Media. These platforms allow the partnership to promote regional itineraries to the travel trade to encourage more people to visit East Scotland.
A programme of FAM trips for trade, media and key stakeholders will be organised to demonstrate the itineraries and showcase the region.
All activity will be listed on www.visitscotland.com/itineraries
