£5,000 broadband vouchers for eligible SME’s

If your download speed is less than 30 Megabits per second and your business does not have a private broadband solution such as a dedicated ethernet line, you could be eligible for government support.

  • Unsure if this is you? Check your broadband speed test using an online test such as this one.

Support from the Scottish Government is mainly delivered through R100 contracts with Openreach. If your business is included in these plans you just need to wait for the programme to come to you.

For those not covered by these contracts, the Scottish Broadband Voucher Scheme (SBVS) offers eligible premises up to £5,000 towards the cost of installing faster broadband. Those with vouchers need to work with a supplier to claim and deliver their voucher.

The Tayside Digital Engagement Team can support you with this. Working across Perth & Kinross, Angus, Dundee and Fife, the team aims to support the Scottish Government’s R100 programme to improve digital connectivity in the region.

More information about the R100 programme, including broadband suppliers and available technologies, can be found here. Simply enter your postcode into the site’s online address checker to see whether your property is included in the main contracts or voucher scheme.
