From nursery through primary, secondary and onto further studies, ensuring a high standard of education for everyone in the community is one of the essential drivers for nurturing and developing a skilled workforce.

In Perth and the wider region 35 nurseries, 63 primary schools and 9 secondary schools – made up of a combination of state run and independent providers – contribute to the first steps in a child’s education. 

From here, UHI Perth boasts 9,000 students annually, and as the largest campus in the University of Highlands and Islands, it has a mission to change lives through excellence in education, research and innovation, developing knowledge, skills, and the experience to succeed.

Opportunities range from honours degrees to evening classes, and they are also committed to working in partnership with industry to drive positive change via the Centre for Enterprise, providing high quality support to businesses.

In addition, many of Scotland’s leading universities and research centres are less than an hour away, meaning world-class institutions such as The University of St Andrews, Abertay University, Glasgow School of Art and The University of Edinburgh are all within easy reach.
