The Angel’s Share is an entrepreneur-investor introductory service delivered by Perth & Kinross Council which was initially set up in 2012.
In its first few years, the programme helped over 100 businesses become investor ready with six of these businesses attracting £1M+ from local investors. In addition, significant sums of private and public funds were leveraged against these investments which ensured further gains for the local economy.
Invest in Perth relaunched the Angel’s Share in 2022 reigniting opportunities to connect local SMEs with local angel investors. Our aim is to advise and support growth ready businesses to ensure they secure the right investment from the right investors. This is being delivered by Finlay Kerr of Frejz/invest.
The Angel’s Share programme supports Perth & Kinross Council’s wider aims of economic resilience and long-term growth through innovation and sustainability by creating a strong investor community, and nurturing innovation and a growth mindset in local businesses.
